WHEN: Sunday, May 9, 2010 (Mother's Day)
WHERE: Grant Park, Columbus Dr. at Balbo Ave., Chicago
The Teamsters will be walking this year in the Breast Cancer Network of Strength’s Walk to Empower and you’re invited to join the team. Walk with friends, benefit a good cause and help the Teamsters reach our fundraising goal of $20,000.
Follow these three simple steps to register for free:
1. Visit http://walk.networkofstrength.org/teamsters
2. Click Join This Team and fill out the registration form
3. Register as a Pink Ribbon Company Adult Walker and enter your discount code to automatically bypass the $25 donation fee. (Discount code: Teamsters)
PLEASE NOTE: Upon registering, you will be asked to raise a minimum of $25 in support of the Breast Cancer Network of Strength. Although you will not have to raise this amount, please enter $25 into the required field. Joint Council 25 will cover this minimum donation on your behalf. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RAISE ANY MONEY OR MAKE ANY CONTRIBUTIONS.
Participants who would like to raise funds for those currently affected by breast cancer are encouraged to make a more significant pledge. Please remember to keep track of your donation forms and checks. When you’ve reached your personal fundraising goal, bring your forms and checks with you on the day of the race.
